I recently picked up a Burberry cotton pea coat in an olive color. It had an MSRP of $1800.

Has anyone seen a similar jacket in stores? I'm wondering why the original value was so high for a cotton jacket. I paid about $300 for it, but I've never seen it before anywhere. The only reason I purchased was due to the cut; it was well suited for my build with fairly slim lines. My hunch is that Burberry, like many other retailers, wishes to overinflate its product lines by setting MSRPs at ridiculous levels (a la RLPL); but hopefully this jacket will last a while longer than their run of the mill garbage that's made in turkey and china (you know what I'm talking about).
