How do you guys figure out if a suit is truly bespoke? A tailor in the Raleigh-Durham region offers "custom" suits for around $1500, but I've seen the tailor sometimes offer the same on daily deal sites for about $600. Is it even possible to offer a truly bespoke suit for under $1000 in the US?
Here's the website: http://bunburysuits.com/about
An example of a deal: http://www.groupon.com/deals/bunbury-custom-clothiers
Quote: "For $599, you get a custom suit package (up to a $1,735 value), which includes
two-piece, custom suit made from 100% English wool (a $1,495 value); Bespoke tailor Raj Bulchandani custom-measures clients, then crafts Egyptian cotton shirts and smartly fitted suits in the tradition of the tailors of London's Savile Row. Raj takes a flurry of measurements for every project to create a unique pattern, rather than relying solely on old patterns or futuristic space-suit prototypes."
Do you guys know anything about this tailor (Raj Bulchandani) ? Does anyone have any experience with this establishment and is it really bespoke or made to measure?
Appreciate the insights!
