But, I can certainly get away with spending $1500, an amount at which I can easily get 3 fused suits and 2 canvas suits so long as I keep my ear to the ground.  That would supplement the current 2 "half-canvassed" and one fused suit I already have.  
Even if you wear suits every day to work, you still only need 5-6 suits in your wardrobe max.  Why not spend the $1500 (or a little bit more) on three fully canvassed suits?

If the weather were the same year round, or if I didn't have to take public transportation/walk to work, then 5 or 6 suits would be sufficient. But if you go with 5 4 season wools, 1 or 2 heavier wools for really cold days, and then 1 suit for boiling days, you are at 8 suits.
