Buffalo Exchange?

I have a heap of stuff I don't wear (slim-fit Ben Sherman shirts and sport coats and some cool mohair Merc sta-press trou, etc.), but have not got around to taking pics and listing them here. So, I I was wondering if anyone has tried selling stuff at Buffalo Exchange? Do they give an ok price for used clothes? Thanks.

they'll go through it and see what they think they can sell. it also depends on the season, ex. you'll get more for a jacket in the fall than you would in the spring.

it's worth a shot. i sold some stuff there and came out happy. they were too low on some things so i kept them. it really just depends on what you think an OK price is.

I've sold stuff there a number of times... I've found that it really varies, especially depending on who the person doing the buying is. Sometimes they've refused to take some of the nicer stuff that I've tried to sell, but taken t-shirts from target. The pickiness as to condition of the piece varies too, they've taken jeans that are falling apart in places but refused shirts that are in perfect shape other than a tiny sweat spot on the inner collar. If they do take stuff I believe they give something like 30% in cash of what they're pricing it to sell at...or 50% if you choose credit at their store. I usually use it to sell of stuff I don't want, but that isn't nice enough to bother selling here at the B&S forum.

I sold some stuff there last weekend. Don't expect to get much for anything. Given the recession, a lot of people are selling, and while they said they have good traffic and sales are steady given that discount clothes are a better choice for consumers right now, they are able to be picky about things.

I ended up donating >75% of what I bought. Nice stuff too.

As others have said, it all depends on who the buyer is.

I've had times where they've taken lots of stuff and others where apparently I wasn't cool enough for the tattooed, pierced kid who just sniffed at my stuff in disgust.

I liked Buffalo Exchange better when they were just a single store in Tucson, not this corporate chain.

Last time I was in a Buffalo Exchange, maybe 4 years ago, in Boulder, in the mens section I found all 5 sets of boys sized Pyjamas (probably bought at target) that were worn by this horrible once-popular local hipster metalcore band in a photoshoot, so selling **** there is apparently a lot easier if you're big in the scene the people working there are in.
