What are you favorite places to have brunch?

It seems like i have been going to Prune and ABC Kitchen lately. Need some new places to check out. Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks

Another go-to brunch is to get one or two oeufs a la coque + the tuscan plate at Pain Quotidien. One of my very favorite meals for a Sat/Sun lunch.

I hate brunch. Everything about it. The people, the crowd, the wait, ugh.

But I guess Norma's and Cafe Gitane in the Jane are decent enough.

haganah -- maybe you hate brunch because you're going to places like Norma's. the only thing i liked there was the orange juice.

jsc4president -- there's a pretty good spot across from Prune called Joe Doe. i love the chilaquiles there, and if you care, the chef won an episode of "Chopped" on Food Network. and shopsin's in the Essex St. Market is always really, really good if you're willing to wait in line for 30-40 minutes and put up with the crappy service.

if you're near Tribeca, Locanda Verde might have the best brunch in the city.

I like Penelope on 33rd St and Lexington. The wait is long but it is definitely worth it.

Pastis: Food is good, atmosphere can be hit or miss depending on your taste, prices are $2-3 above average per plate due to the LW12th locale

Tartine: Long wait sucks. Croque Monsieur is damn tasty. Better eggs can be found in other parts of the city
