Brown suede wingtips

I have decided that there is a hole in my shoe cabinet that can only be filled by a brown suede wingtip.

I actually only own one pair of suede shoes in general, which are C&J Tetburys in dark brown suede.

As such, I suppose I'd prefer to avoid C&J, normally my favorite shoe brand. Being suede, I'd prefer to keep 'em under $500. I prefer a nice rich brown color for maximum versatility.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Heh! I also said "wingtips", but hey! I am actually going to add those to my list regardless. Obviously I don't hate C&J or anything; I have owned about eight different models. Is a captoe oxford considered more or less dressy than a wingtip?

What model are those? One of the "Brown Suede Shoes" threads in search talked about an AE McCloud (?) which is no longer available...

A Captoe balmoral would be more dressy by far.

if you can still find them, the AE Bel-Air in suede was discontinued so they can be found (call the Shoe bank) for under $200. (note, they're much lighter IRL)

Try AE Cambridge/MacCallisters which may still be on sale.

I recommend this AE, too. It comes in several colors and has a nice shape. I have it in navy and find it to be very comfortable and fairly sleek.

I went on the same search six months ago. The Herring shoes website carries the Loake, Cheaney, Church and Trickers suede wingtips. Shipton and Heneage have a suede wingtip monkstrap that I am thinking of getting although I am not sure of the shape.

Bleach Boy - I too am hunting for a brown suede wing tip. I think I've narrowed it down to two.

1. This J Gilbert snuff suede wingtip
2. This BB Peal Longwing

I'm sort of leaning towards #2, even though it's not a wingtip in the strictest definition of the word. I like the look of a suede longwing, and it will probably be 25% off around Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Both of these are very nice shoes,gonna get the BB long wings during the sale.
