Hello everyone,

What's the consensus on wearing brown shoes with black cords? It's only for a house party, nothing formal...I'm just curious what people think. I've attached a couple of grainy pictures to help with the Yea-ing or Nae-ing.

Cheers,

M.

I guess a generally brown sportscoat with gray/black checks could help that brown shoe "fit in" . . . .

I vote Nay in this instance -- I think it would have to be a darker brown to work, if it would work at all.

I'd also vote for a darker suede shoe - or, if you have a little "FUKITOL" in your system, some lighter tan ones.. don't like your current pairing but am not completely opposed to brown with black.

I frequently wear tan derbies or dark tan monks with my RLPL black corduroy trousers. Just think Guinness and Bass. If that doesn't work for you, drink some Guinness and Bass!

I think it would look a lot better if the pants were slimmer, a more Italian look.

Thanks for everyones destructive criticism! haha....now I have no idea what to wear with those black cords...and I'm beginning to understand why black pants seem to be generally seen as an unnatural idea.

Cheers,
