By the lofty standards of this forum, everything here is pretty pedestrian. Still, I wanted to add my small voice to the many fine examples of shoe collections that have been posted. Two of these predate my joining the forum. I haven't included my black shoes because I own only three pair and am generally unimpressed in general terms by black footwear.

Back row (left to right): Sutor Mantellassi chukka boots; Sutor Mantellassi suede monkstrap chukka boots; Johnston & Murphy calf and canvas spectators; Grenson suede saddle shoes; Ferragamo David

Front row: Polo Tellman; Peal spectators; Loake Norwich; Allen Edmonds Fairfax; Shipton & Heneage Chairman

Love it, VG. The specs and Grenson saddles are fantastic. All are very handsome. I really need to get some suede shoes.

The fairfax looks great -- better, in fact, than it ever did on the AE website. They should employ you to take better photos for them!

I'll echo the rest.. nicely rounded collection! Love the spectators, VG.

As for the Fairfax, I must also say that the website pictures are really awful compared to the actual shoe.

Thanks, folks, for the kind words on my modest collection. I agree with the thoughts on the Fairfax; AE's photography does it no favors, and it looks quite a bit nicer in person.
