What does one wear brown gunboat pebble grains with?

edit - just realized those aren't longwings, but the picture should suffice. I have a pair of brown pebble grain longwings (with a beefy 360 degree welt) but rarely ever wear them.

Chocolate cords are about the only thing I've worn them with.

I love those Darltons. At least in that picture.

I'd wear them with a sportcoat, or even with jeans. I wouldn't wear those with a suit, unless I was 10 years younger and doing it ironically.

I would treat them like these, which aren't longwings but are similar in color and "chunkiness". This means I would wear them with just about any casual outfit where the color worked.

Well, I don't wear jeans, and I don't really think a heavy, brogued, pebbled, brown shoe would look that good with a nice refined navy suit (I know a lot here would disagree).

I do have a navy glen plaid suit, might try pairing them with it.

But seriously, navy paired with that rich mid-chocolate is a very northern Italian look. A navy suit with those shoes maybe doesn't equal job interview apparel, but in my experience it works as smart casual with a twist.

To each his own I guess!

What couldn't you wear those with? They're beautiful! Nice find.
