Brown Pants or Suit. What Color Shoes?

I like the color brown, but I feel that brown pants are tough. What color shoes would you wear with the following shades:

Dark Brown / Chocolate?
Medium Brown?
Light Brown?


Opposite shade of brown shoes? same shade of brown shoes? Navy shoes? What else?

Personally, with brown pants (I prefer taupe to brown) I would wear any colour shoes under the rainblow except navy or black.
One school is to keep the shoes darker than the pants but I firmly and routinely break that rule with brown/taupe. The reason is I don't see these colours (for pants/suits) as being dressy enough to begin with and treat them casually. Experiment! and share the photos.

I have my green Bontonis and I love those with any shade of brown.

Right now I'm wearing medium to light brown pants, and wearing burgundy loafers. So burgundy. Or a dark brown. Or a brown lighter than the pants.

I could see navy working, or green, though those are more esoteric colors that I don't have (been meaning to get a pair of one or the other in suede, but haven't gotten around to it yet). So the answer to your question is yes.
