Levis 501 makes brown jeans, which is a relaxed cut. $30 at Levis stores, Mervyns, etc

High end-wise, don't know of any.

There are those crazy, brownish-orangeish persimmon-dyed Japanese jeans you'll see every now and then. Those seem pretty cool to me (though I've never seen them in person), but almost impossible to find and incredibly expensive. I guess this probably isn't going to be of much help to you, sorry!

501s fit tight. the 550s are the relaxed fit. levi's has these in brown on their website, but i can't find them anywhere.

Do 501s really fit you tightly? I don't know but for me they're grossly baggy.

Revived thread for the sake of keeping everything together. Any suggestions for brown denim? So far all I've found are the levis 514 and j crew slim fit in "dill" (which isn't really brown). Looking for something a bit nicer if I can find it.

501s may not be slim by the standards of styleforum/superfuture, but I don't know where people get this 501s baggy fitting business from.

Regarding the OP, they Levi's does indeed have brown 501s on their web site.
