Brown Buttons On Navy Suit?

While I have changed the buttons on my lighter colored suits, it didn't dawn on me to change the buttons on my dark suits until I recently saw this RLBL suit with brown buttons. My navy suits have navy blue buttons, presumably plastic.

Does anyone own any navy suits with brown buttons? Since I love wearing brown shoes with my navy suits, I think this will add that extra touch. What do you think?

Navy Polo suits usually have brown horn buttons. I like them even if I don't wear brown shoes with the suits.

I have a navy winter weight Black Fleece suit with brownish horn buttons. My navy summer weight Black Fleece suit has off-white Mother of Pearl buttons.

I just picked up a set of brown horn buttons on Avenue of the Americas to go on my solid navy suit.

I can get them for you. They are about $26-28 for a full set of buttons (3 for the front, 8 for the sleeves). PM me your details and I'll get them tomorrow or something.

If you see any smoked MoP buttons there, let me know. Thanks

Brown horn buttons are the natural choice for a navy suit. Blue buttons don't sound right at all.

Thank you all for bolstering my confidence.

I bought the buttons fom MJTrim on Avenue of the Americas. I knew if I walked down there one of those stores was bound to have some buttons I liked.

The set was $25
8 for sleeves, 3 for pants, 1 jacket inside button pocket = $1.25 ea, -10% for the dozen
3 for the front of the jacket = $2.98 ea

I'm going back to get some corozo buttons for my brown suit.

I can't wait to get home & get rippin' & stitchin'

I have a set of light brown wood buttons if anyone wants them.

Brown buttons on blue are fantastic. While not a suit, here's a navy jacket with brown horn buttons, terminated in brown reverse calf loafers:

That is one handsome jacket, vox. What's the weight of that fabric?

Thank you, Big B. It's bespoke from Edwin DeBoise in 14oz navy flannel.

Agree. But for some reason, most RTW navy suits come with navy buttons.
