Does a dark brown camel-hair sportcoat work with faded navy blue cords? I'm wearing them now, and I can't decide if it looks strange or not... The coat works fine with jeans of the same color...

    I'm confused.

I think that dark brown and navy look fine together, although not as great as dark brown and light blue.

I always find that the lighter shades of blue and brown make good friends but if both colors are on the darker side, it can look dull.

Could it be that the texture is bothering you aswell ? The texture of the cords is quite different from the jeans...

No kidding. It took forever to watch and read the whole thing but it was worth it.

Thanks, guys. I think the cords were throwing me off - it looks fine, I've decided.

A friend emailed me that .gif I have as an avatar. Definitely cracks me up.

What about navy wool pants, and a brown velvet jacket?
