Brooks suit separates for athletic build?

Just looking for an easy, online solution to a 10-inch drop. Do any "athletic" members here have experience with the Brooks Brothers separates line? Or, for that matter, with the fit of their sportcoats? I'm a 44R with a 34 waist. I find that Zegna seems to fit me okay off-the-rack, which seems to be a pretty common experience with more muscular guys. But selection is limited in my neck of the woods, and sales are few and far between.

I imagine the Brooks jackets could always be altered by a tailor. Just wondering if that's probably an easy fix, or too drastic to be worth it?

We have the same build, you and I.

I've had luck with Tom Ford, but its pricey.

As for Brooks Brothers, the sport coat fit is pretty good, but they come kind of boxy off the rack. Add a bit of waist suppression, and they look fine. Most of their sports coats have single vents, however, which is bad for me as I prefer double vents.

I also have a 10-inch drop and went the Brooks separates route. For the price on sale, I don't think it's a bad option at all, though the jacket did need pretty significant alterations (3ish inches of waist suppression). I'm satisfied for the price I paid though.
