I ordered M size regular fit sport shirts from Brooks Brothers 4 months ago and they all were baggy on me. Now I'd like to make another order and I'm afraid which size to order.

My current measurements:
196lb (working it out to reduce it)
5.61 tall
42inch chest

So what do you think? should I consider slim fit sport shirts with a bit bigger size to avoid the bagginess when wearing regular fit shirts? not sure if S size regular shirt would fit me.

i hear they have physical stores where one can try on the shirts, and they also allow multiple purchases and returns on the same order, so the same can be done at home

I would've done that but shipping the wrong size back would cost the double.

I posted this because maybe someone had been in my shoes and figured his correct size.

5'7" and 196lbs seems like M in slim fit might be to small. What was the baggy area? Was it through the chest or stomach or arms? It is hard to tell if regular fit S would work for you. Truthfully if you're losing weight stick with the M shirts you have and then once you're down to your desired weight order a few different sizes in regular and slim fit. Order over the phone and tell them your situation and ask if they could wave shipping since you are trying to determine your size and can't make it to a store to try things on. The operators usually have some flexibility to wave shipping if you're nice and have a reason.

The extra slim fit shirts fit me very well in my true size.
