1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I saw them in store and didn't think twice, but after looking on line they are growing on me. I've been looking for a brown grain wingtip. Without the kiltie I'd be all over these. I may seek them out anyways! (they don't have them in my size on line)

Really like the recent batch of Black Fleece. Looks like C&J with the nails and the inscription on the lining (showing the 325 last).

that shoe has a lot going for it including the adelaide throat. i like the clean lines and austerity wingtip but i too would find it difficult to wear. plus i dont wear black much reserving black shoes for more formal occasions. but this doesnt strike me as a formal shoe either. interesting indeed

Great thread Namor. In an attempt to be helpful, I wanted to share that the lining is sometimes useful to see who makes the particular Peal or England Made BF shoes. The last is often inscribed and can lead to the manufacturer. C&J have those 3 digit last names. In these chukkas (that I no longer have), the 87 suggests Alfred Sargent (I have a harder time with Loake, Church's, etc.).

Does anybody know whether the C&J for BBBF are sized a full size up from the UK size for the American market? In other words, would a BBBF on the C&J 325 in an 11US equal a 10UK?
