Brooks brothers outlet store

I was in a Brooks Bros. outlet store today, and along with the way overpriced 346 suits, there were a few suits that were Made in Italy. They were priced at $350 (on sale from $399). I sort of liked the cut -- seemed to have a nice shoulder -- and the fabric was pretty good too. Although it was fused, it did have pad stitched canvas lapels. I didn't take a longer look at it than that, so I don't really know the other construction details.

Does anyone know anything about this line? Is this relegated to the outlet stores, or does regular BB carry the Made in Italy suits? Who makes these? Are they decent quality? During the friends and family sales you could get these for just over $225, so I'm wondering if that is a good deal.

By the way, for any of you with wives/girlfriends who need shoes, if it is not too much of a trek up to the Maine Kittery outlets, the Brooks Brothers outlet there had some very cool women's shoes (dressy casual, as opposed to office dressy) for 70% off. They had mostly 6.5's, 7.5's, 8's, and 9's. My wife got two pairs of gorgeous Italian shoes for about $55 a pop. I doubt its worth more than an 45 - 1 hour drive if you aren't busy -- especially with the insane gas prices -- but I thought I'd throw it out there. We have to make sure to think about the women in our lives.

in the recently revived suit post, there is a mention that some of the brooks brothers suits are made in italy by one of the isaia factories ..... not certain if it is correct still (it was my post quoting from amex's departures magazine)

however, an italian (the ray ban sunglasses guy) does own brooks brothers so it is possible
