This is the opposite of the BB "commercial" post the other day. I saw this this morning, and just had to share.

Brutal.

Flip-flops belong in the women's collection.

I have the leather ones that I bought a couple of years ago. Great for showering at the gym and hitting the beach.

This is what is known as brand dilution. BB has done way too much of it the past number of years.

Listen, some of us want to do one-stop shopping, 'aight? As a middle manager, when I send my assistant (same size as me) to pick up some suits, I want him to be able to grab undershirts and flip-flops at the same store so as to reduce the time it takes for menial errands. They don't pay me $400k/year starting salary to comparison-shop!

The problem is they don't seperate their different "brands" in the same way RL does. The logo hoodie and the 3K suit are both in the minds of consumers Brooks Brothers. There needs to be a more substantial differentiation of product lines so that the low end products don't drag down the reputation of high end products.

Precisely. For years I avoided the BB main stores because I had seen the pure crap onto which they had allowed the BB label to be pasted in the BB outlets, with which I did not wish to be associated.

The outlet crap is not even close to their mainline 1818 stuff much less their GF or BF stuff. Most people don't know the difference between the RL line much less the BB lines. You shouldn't buy stuff for other people's perception of quality anyway.
