I need a suit and I'm thinking of buying Brooks Brothers 1818 FitzgeraldÂ

Two-Button Suit.

You can see details here: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatP...&sectionsize=#

I like this navy one:
212K_NAVY

My questions are:
1) Is this suit worth it's money? If not, please give me a few names/models/ideas on similar cut suits. What cloth is it (80, 100, 120... how durable it is)?
2) Cut/style/design of this suit. Is it too old? I'm a mid level manager in one of fortune 500 companies, I need something acceptable.
3) I want to buy 2 plain navy, 2 plain charcoal suits, same model. Should I go with stripes? Should I choose different brand or model?
4) I'm looking to spend as little as possible. My top for one suit is 800 $US. Can you recommend ways of paying less for 1818 FitzgeraldÂ

Two-Button Suit? I'm OK with gently used or whatever. Condition must be near new or new, no visible problems. And I'm willing to buy 4 suits at once.

Thank you for your help!

If you live close to a BB retail store, I would recommend stopping by and trying on the Fitzgerald, Regent and Madison in your size and see how they fit. They often have 1818 suits on sale for 2 for $1499 and often can get 30% off of that during friends & family promotions. Once in a blue moon, they will have a 50% off sale which is probably the best you are going to get and better if you can add a coupon on top of it.

If you only want to get 1818 suits, I wouldn't get 2 plain navy and 2 plain charcoal suits. You can get plain navy, plain charcoal, pinstripe navy and pinstripe gray/charcoal.

This. Or, perhaps, a stripe navy and a gray or charcoal in a subtle pattern.

I wouldn't worry about the suit being too "old", it's a good, conservative design which won't look wildly dated within a year or two.

Unfortunately I live extremely far away from any of BB stores. I will be ordering online, with delivery.

So I try to think ahead of all possible difficulties I might face when buying this model.

I'm very interested in 50% sale. Is there a way to know in it might happen soonish, let's say in 1-3 months? Might it help if I phone them and ask this directly?
