I can't "CONFIRM", but the last marking says "505" and the shape matches an EG505, so unless someone has done a detailed forgery, I'd say 'probably". My EG's have the size/last/model markings inside a small oval cut from the lining...but that may be a newer feature. EG hasn't made peal & co. for a long time, but I'm pretty sure they did once.

Yes, I would think they are as stated, Peal & Co. (owned by BB) made by Edward Green.

I thought most of the old Brook's English shoes were made by Church's, and the old Brook's Peals were made by EG. These are marked Brook's English on the inside heel.

They kinda look like Greens. $300 is an awful lot for some pretty well-used Greens though.

Those shoes are pretty nice too. Just wish they weren't so used.

They probably are EG but at that condition I wouldn't pay more than $50 for them.

I made an offer for those to no avail.

Funny...I looked at the size and never bothered to look at the price since they're way too big for me. Agree, even if they were clearly branded EG (meaning you know they were made to EG spec and not to BB spec), they would be worth closer to $100 in that condition at best.

As was my (generous) offer, which was declined. Oh well, I don't need more shoes anyway.
