As I mentioned a few months back, I broke my persol lenses. The frames are fine, but I am looking for a place in chicago or new york that will fix them inexpensively. Lenscrafters is 100 dollars, which is basically twice what I paid for the glasses. Does anybody have any suggestions? I dont mind plasic lenses, I just want to wear the glasses again.

Also: with regard to Mastroianni's glasses in La Dolce Vita, people seem to agree that they are 0649's. This is really not the case, but I can't ID them. Can anybody help? I suspect they are persols"”I think I can make out the arrow on the side.

Seemingly not. Why not just buy some new ones? if the cost of replacement lenses is more than you want to pay then....

Oh, because I bought them from someone for 60 dollars. Persols cost a lot more than that, which is why I would like to know where I can get the lenses fixed.
