I didn’t realise quite how many of my boots and shoes were brogues until joining this thread. Tricker’s Henry today.

I just bought and returned some C&J Westgate 2, that were just too narrow for me sadly. I’m looking to get some Oxford brogues or semi-brogues and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. I have quite wide feet and so usually need an F or G fit.

Any views on Church’s Diplomat?

The grace of the bourton is evelated when its placed on @shahtirthak 's infamous feet size
Haha, one pair is UK13 and the other 3 are UK12...the ideal.size would be UK12.5 which are not made!
UK13 with a 3/4th insole + UK12 shoes with UK13 shoe trees do the trick.
The only benefit with this size is that the Brogue medallions on the toe do not get cut by the welt !!
Cheers,
Tirthak

Aaaaah yea @shahtirthak . I can see that. The medallions dont get cut short by the welt in your case. How pretty. This is an annoying feature of the trickers medallion punching which gets eaten by the welt. So how is it that the medallion in your bourton's is spared? Must be something technical to it.

J&M handmades owned for decades.

A better photo of the Silvano Lattanzi hatch grain brogue.

Black Santoni brogue that gets worn a lot as a walking shoe (too lazy to edit old photo to cut other shoes out)

Two pairs of Santoni burgundy brogues with wide toe box (old photo). Great pair of shoes.
