that's the most tamed Silvano Lattanzi I have seen

He makes some really great classics that are very tame.
You should see my Lattanzi shoes that were buried for years in the ground, they are far from tame. ;)

Might post my 1950's gunboat spectator shoe one day with double stitched super extended running board welt, that is far from tame too.

Timpsons made the best brogues with their "Royals" collection, and they were very popular with Suedeheads and Skinheads in the late 60s and early 70s. As far as I know, Florsheim Imperial longwings were in a similar style but are no longer made. The best current form is Alden's. Again, their longwing Blucher is up there with style and high price. I recently visited America and purchased a lovely pair from their New York store.

Allen Edmonds had a great brogue back when they were doing the Jefferson 2.0 and the Independence line. It had noticeably better quality leather both outside and inside the shoe. Sadly, they were discontinued but luckily I found a pair on sale after they were discontinued.

Thanks for the supportive welt messages. I liked them when I bought them, but for some reason I just feel like it looks a bit fashion forward/naff now.

The "off-contrast welt brigade" has now infiltrated and is all over this one @Fenners81 . We suggest you be convinced that it looks beautiful. Or else we will have to 🦅
