I was looking at the very nice Valextra wallets in this buy & sell thread and it occurred to me that a GBP would never fit in them.

Looking through my own wallet collection, I noticed the same thing. So basically my question is, how do you manage?

Folding? Larger wallet? Do you find it restricts your purchasing options?

Maybe those coins are why they wear baggy ass pants.

I have my manservant pay for things. I generally prefer not to touch cash. You never know who has handled it before you.

Coins are too heavy to carry, I round up.

@ Holymadness - may I suggest dear Fellow that you fold your notes once more. Otherwise I recommend you stuff the notes in a safe trouser pocket and use the money you'd use to buy the wallet with and get stoned instead..!?

With 'Crash' Gordenron 'miracle economy' Broon running the show the best storage for £££ is a toilet-paper dispenser.

With the Bank of England rumoured to be ready to start printing huge amounts of extra money I imagine we will soon be needing wheelbarrows.

To avoid the wheelbarrow or at least to reduce the number of wheelbarrows needed there is always the possibility of printing those useful 100 Billion notes, as Zimbabwe does:
Zimbabwe's banknotes (8 pictures)

Another problem of the European currencies is the lack of small notes and the therefore larger need for coins: The smallest Euro-banknote is € 5. That creates the need for € 1 and € 2 coins that are widely used of course and not small either. Bulk in wallets (or pockets) builds up fast if you don't pay attention to it.

I like my coins, expecially with all the new exciting motives on them. It's not like having the same old mmug on every note!

At least in Europe you do have those 500 EUR banknotes.

Here in the UK, the largest note is GBP 50. And even that one is quite rare as many shops and punters view them with suspicion. So the banks tend not to give them out, either over the counter or stock them in ATMs. So when you use a machine to draw GBP 500, you'll end up with a big handful of crumpled GBP 10 and 20 notes.
