I just saw very nice Brioni trousers for fall/winter. The material is 60% wool and 40% silk. Would this be a durable fabric?

Normal wool. nothing fancy like Super 150's or above. Probably 80s or 100s.

Probably, assuming the pants are mid-weight.

I bought a great pair of Brioni slacks on ebay a few months ago. Pure silk and a color I didn't have (sort of a medium blue; maybe one might call it slate blue). They feel great when on and I am sure they will last a long time. Totally worth the price (I think it was less than $200 but really can't remember).

I think Valentini makes better pants than Brioni.
