That pinstriped Corvato suit looks and sounds fantastic. The size is huge, though. I was thinking of maybe buying it for my dad as a Christmas present. Not having any experience with tailors, I'm wondering if it would be possible or indeed practical to have the suit altered to make the jacket a 44, and the waist size on the pants a 36? If so, what sort of money would these alterations cost? I'm not looking to go to the best tailor in Toronto, even Moores would probably suffice. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, has anyone ever dealt with this seller before? I see he's got a good feedback record on eBay, but I'd be happy to hear from any other SF members who have bought from him, and what their experience as been with regards to the quality of the items they've received?

I once saw a billboard in the South that said

So there you go.

Perhaps someone else will second my opinion of myself.

I always try to deal fairly. Note that this week another square dealer, shirtmaven, has consigned me some of his stock.

To drive home the point, I will tell you that turning a size 50 in to a size 44 is fairly impossible. I would love to sell you a Corvato, but the ones I have are no where near the size you seek.

Are the sizes you list all American or European sizes (UK and Italy), or are they listed as-is, according to where the garment was manufactured? Do the UK and Italy both use the same European sizing system? I noticed that the light brown bespoke Corvato jacket you're selling is a size 54, which would make it a US 42. Would it be feasible to have it made a 56/44? Could that be accomplished just by having the buttons moved? My dad typically wears a US size 44, RTW (ready-to-wear). I'm wondering if this jacket will fit him. The same question also applies to the pinstriped Corvato suit, though I'm less sure that it could be sufficiently altered.

USA Ebay classifications are according to US sizes, regardless of where the garment was made. In my headlines I sometimes include the euro sizes as well, because some people use these as search terms.

The Corvato items, for example, are a US 50 or 52, as you can see by the measurements provided. In euro sizes, they would be a 60 or larger.
