Brioni blue suede jacket -- should I keep it?

This is my first post -- hi everybody. I've been lurking for some time.

So, I was at Filene's and was looking at their heavily discounted rack when I ran across this Brioni blue suede jacket. I was not in the market for such a thing, but the fit was damn near perfect (50 European), and they honored a 20% off coupon on top of its already discounted 50% off, bringing the total price to $400. As you can see, the suggested retail of the jacket was $3500.

Still, $400 is a lot of cash (to me anyway). I kind of want to keep it (given the good deal I got on it), but I'm trying to justify the expense. Do you think this thing can be worn in a lot of situations, or is it one of those things that is not really practical? Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever seen anybody wear a blue suede jacket, which gives me some pause. I'd appreciate your opinions.

FYI, the third pic is probably the best in terms of giving you an idea of the color.

Yes, I know that would be helpful. But I don't have anybody around to take the pic. I'll see if I can get one up in the next day or two.

Ok, I managed to take some fit pics by myself. They aren't great pics, but they should give you an idea. Please keep in mind that I only have on a t-shirt under the jacket in these pics.

To be honest the jacket is really quite ugly to me. Put it this way, would you still consider it if it wasn't Brioni?

As a general rule, if I don't think I'll ever wear something I don't buy it. A $50 jacket that looks good and gets a lot of use is more intrinsically valuable than a blue suede trophy honoring my $3100 in savings and $400 of uselessness.

Thanks for the honest assessment. I doubt I'd spend $400 on it if it wasn't Brioni. That said, I'm really quite torn on whether I think it is attractive. Part of me is drawn to the unusualness of it.

Send that back. Def not worth the price, or maybe it's just the photo quality. I'm gonna say,,. don't keep.

It doesn't look too versatile to me. Agree with Why. Take it back and find another (or several) article you would actually wear instead.
