1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Makes sense on the minimum order. I am sure they'll all turn out well.

Steadfast certainly has more of a visible weave than Oyster (which is very much a straight worsted). Couple of very nice hopsacks in the Steadfast book as well.

    That. Is. Fantastic. News.

Good suggestion. I admit I'm a bit sheepish about asking for such a favor, but maybe if they're really busy enough on this trip, they won't mind. I certainly don't mind paying for all the garments up front, but it would be nice to see how the first fits before getting the others.

    Sounds like a great visit.
I can't wait to see the clothes
    when they are done.
I am profoundly jealous of all of you.

Steed confirmed today that they'll be coming to San Francisco four times a year. What great luck.

And thanks to agjiffy for the suggestion. I sheepishly asked if they could make up one garment before doing the others, and they very nicely said yes. Really pleasant and nice folks, both Edwin and Matthew.

For those interested, their next visit is in June, I think. From now on, I may just post updates in the A&S expats thread, so that we don't have two threads running on Steed.
