Does anyone own this umbrella and care to share some real life photos? I plan to get it through the main USA distributor unless someone has another source they can share. Thanks in advance.

I have it and if I remember, I'll snap some photos when I get home. I am not sure though what my photos will show that your photo does not.

Just want to see the details of the finish. I'm considering another style but this one seems classic. Too bad there's only1 detailed photo of it on the net. I'll appreciate it if you can find the time to take some close up photos. Maybe we can start the first ever umbrella Appreciation thread right here.

Out of curiosity, who's the main USA distributor?

I'm curious if anyone here own an Oertel Handmade umbrella, sold on http://www.european-umbrellas.com

Some of them look very nice and a little different from the Briggs. I wonder if they're any good.

I own and have handled a good deal of Brigg umbrellas and they are one of my favorite things. I can't say I prefer the PoW, as it's very showy. My main one is a Maple with sterling silver collar.

For what it's worth, I think you will be extremely happy with the PoW.

Excuse my photos as they are not the greatest and in no particular order:

Great looking umbrella. Lovely photos. That stick looks very substantial. Have Briggs become thicker recently?

I have only one Brigg bought in the past year, and it looks like the one in those photos. It is a substantial umbrella, particularly compared to the Fox umbrella that I have.

mmoraitis,

Thank you for the photos. The wood is not as dark as I've pictured in my mind. I also noticed that the shaft is made from the same wood. Those are the little details I couldn't visualize from stock photos. Beautiful umbrella.

Coho,

Would you consider a "factory second"? If yes, see here http://www.papworthtravelgoods.co.uk...lla/index.html

It's not the PoW version, but for 1/4 of the price it represents exceptional vale. Got one last month, and it had its first outing at Royal Ascot last week. The only noticeable indication that it was a second is a slight mark on the tip. BTW I was about three feet way from the actual PoW at Ascot and he did not appear to have the Brigg PoW. It looked more like the standard maple handled one.

Adagio,

Thanks for the link. Does "factory second" mean a slightly flawed production umbrella? Shipping costs as much as the umbrella so it's definitely up for consideration.
