I was considering getting this bag, what are your thoughts? How has it held up over the years?

We have since brought down the weight of the briefcases.Debating between the bound zip-top (which weighs 3 lbs) and the traditional zip top (which weighs 4.5 lbs). I prefer the look and firmer leather of the zip top, but a little concerned about the weight difference.
We have since brought down the weight of the briefcases.
Single Gusset - 3.30lbs
Double Gusset - 3.50lbs
Bound Edge - 3lbs
Let me know if you have further questions.
best,
Ian
Interesting, how? Measurements seems to be exactly the same! Website seems to display another weight as well, 3.75 for a Single. We have since brought down the weight of the briefcases.

Glad to you hear your enjoying the bag!I actually got my single gusset zip top a few months ago. It’s a second so not sure if it’s the older higher weight or the new lower weight, but hasn’t bothered me too much so far. The briefcase is a work of art, so a little extra weight is a small price to pay.
We just dropped the thickness in leather the slightest amount.Interesting, how? Measurements seems to be exactly the same! Website seems to display another weight as well, 3.75 for a Single.
I actually sold my Zip Top, i thought it was too big and weighed to much. It was beautiful though.
