1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Only pre-owned? Pre-owned Frank Clegg would probably cost more than a new Henry Tomkins. Is it not for cost reasons but rather for some "aging"?

How do you carry that bag comfortably? I'm not imagining it.

Not so much about "aging" or the cost in particular, it's just that I'm looking for a good deal, but need a briefcase rather urgently so I made sure to include most if not all, the brands the members on this thread carry.

The loosened strap that it is hanging from is just for illustration purposes. It is a very flat case at 1.5". I use it like a portfolio, not a briefcase so I hold it under my arm, not use the strap as a handle.

The intension of the extra length was sometimes I overstuff so I wanted more room to accomodate a fuller, overstuffed bag. Also, sometimes if I NEED to have a hand free if I am walking in the rain with coffee and an umbrella I can create slack and put my arm through it temporarily. 9 times out of 10 it is fully cinched closed and simply held.

^I personally don't care for Tusting. They photograph well, but having owned one I feel that they feel a bit chinsy, and the finishing seems a bit cheap. I could be way off here and it could just be the style, but ultimately I was underwhelmed with mine.

I'm assuming L&C is Lotuff and Clegg? How old is this? Is this the Vege tanned leather?

Yes, Lotuff & Clegg in Chestnut vegetable tanned leather. I got this in the fall of 2011, so just over 18 months old I would say. The actual color in most natural light conditions somewhere between the previous photo and the one below, probably leaning toward the darker shade.
