LOL. Quite right. Was browsing another thread and came across some pictures of a bag carrying a gorgeous bag http://www.styleforum.net/showpost.p...&postcount=390. wondering if any of you can identify the bag. Asked the same query in that thread but thought i might as well try my luck here. Have re-posted the photos below, it's the bag that the asian dude is carrying:
The scarf plague is infecting all manner of i-gent wannabees.

Thanks! Not sure the "real" premium, but Ferre being a top Italian brand, they probably mark it up considerably because of the name (like you'd expect with Prada, Gucci, valentino, etc.). That being said, it's definitely in the exotic territory, less than crocodile but as much, or slightly more, than ostrich. That season, they made this brief, and then also a suitcase, in this hide. AFAIK, it was only sold at the Ferre flagship in Milan, as I didn't see it in the US Ferre stores that season.
Luckily, I got it VERY reasonably priced from a boutique buyer in Kyoto who visits Europe twice yearly for the shows and pics up random unique pieces, but the original retail was around 15,000 euro, and the suitcase was around 18,000.
For comparison, the croc bags and briefcases from Ferre (or from Gucci/valentino/prada/etc.) generally run 25,000 euros+. Ferre mainline Calf briefcases and bags are in the 1900-3200 euros, depending on treatment and style. They also sometimes make elephant, seal, shark, and hippo bags as seasonal one-time or specialty pieces.
Not sure if this belongs here but does anyone have insight into this Gladstone bag?
Not sure of this can be counted as a representative picture (doesn't look 'real' to me), but here it is anyway.
I believe that it's by Mulholland.
I don't know whether the J.Peterman bag is of lesser quality than the one sold by Mulholland - the Peterman one is actually less expensive.
Here's the Mulholland version of the bag, and here's a version in canvas and leather.
