Does anyone know who makes this? The photo is from the Pitti Street style gallery on the main page.

I have a bag in similar design from Delvaux. It has a metal lock instead of soft closure. I believe they still offer it. Bit unpractical to lack any handle though.

I agree that it can be impractical. I have a case that is a similar design but bigger that I use for meetings when I know I don't need my computer with me, due to the fact that it doesn't have handles.

Still thought the one in the photo is nice though, hence why I posted it.

Yes I use mine instead of document folder and for papers only. Usually sticked under the arm, so both hands are more or less free..

I'd go with the Narragansett. His designs are much more interesting and I have always heard good things about their products. I was in communication with Alan a while back and I know he is open to taking custom orders again these days as long as you don't request anything too far out from his regular designs.

Here are some pictures of a nice one Mr. Moo posted some time back.

Looks great. I wish it had a shoulder strap though. Never heard of this brand, but I like some of their other work.

Thanks. Shoulder strap is an option. Lefren is a young brand from Russia with the following features: all items are entirely hand sewn mostly of English Bridle leather. Bespoke available. Worldwide free shipping.

Gentlemen, who here has had experience with Frank Clegg Leatherworks and can advise how best to get in contact with @Ian Clegg? I'm finding it frustratingly difficult to contact him via email. Unfortunately, calling during US business hours isn't really an option, as I'm asleep at that time in my part of the world.

which style of bag do you think is more versatile for use with a wide range of outfit style, from a more formal spectrum to a business casual with perhaps a hint of workwear in it?

the modern and minimalist zip top briefcase:

    or the classic flap-n-strap briefcase:

i really need some good input and opinions here
