I was considering buying a bridge coat such as:

I was wondering what you guys thought of this idea. I'm a 21 year old student in Toronto. I personally really think I like the look of the longer coat (and the added warmth!). Do you think it is something I could wear with jeans and for more casual outfits?

Looks like it it could be a good buy given your situation and climate. Just make sure it fits trim, but still allow for a layer or two if needed.

You can always buy better horn buttons to update it a bit for not much more. I've seen people do much worse on the same amount of dough, and 32oz fabric should help keep you warm up there. Return if it doesn't work out.

Do you know how these fit? I am a 40" chest, should I have somewhat broader shoulders/longer arms and a smaller waist. Do you know if I should order a 40 to be true to size?

Also, would wearing a dark navy coat with dark blue jeans be a mistake?
