Breitling watch - too gaudy?

I received this watch as a gift when I was much younger. I loved it at the time, but now it's no longer really my style as it's just too flashy. It's a Breitling Super Avenger. What do you guys think about it, is it something you would wear or is it too much?

I was thinking about just ordering a very casual strap, such as http://www.amazon.com/Breitling-24mm-RED-Replacement-Watchband/dp/B00LAM8FUO
to replace the high end leather one, and then wearing it as a casual watch (like when I'm wearing shorts or something). But at the same time, a bright rubber band might draw even more attention, which isn't really what I'm going for.

I think that red strap would look horrible. Don't put cheap straps on decent watches.
I'd just wear it as is.
