Hey everyone,

My wife surprised me recently in NYC by taking me to get a Breitling from the boutique. Unfortunately, the prices were way way to high. Does anyone know of any AD that might be able to give a good deal? Or any grey market dealer that they have used that they could recommend?

You might want to define what "too high" was and what your concept of a "good deal" on a Navi is to better your chances of productive responses. However, I would suggest pre-owned if you can't stomach the Navi retail.

9k for the Navitimer 01 is too high!

I was looking at Breitlings a few years back and they were about 5/6. I think the new navi 01's have in house mechanics which have increased the price. I can get worlds for about 5 but I think they are too big for my wrist.

Was just hoping someone on SF had used a AD that could get a but of a discount.

I don't necessarily disagree, but luckily for me I'm not that crazy about the 01 anyway.

You are correct, the Navi 01 is using the new-ish B01 movement. Have you considered a Montbrillant? Or, if you're open to pre-owned, Right Time in Denver has a beauty of a Navi Olympus (A19340) for sale closer to your price range. You can generally negotiate with them, too.

At any rate, for retail I know that Kenjo on Wall Street used to give a cash discount, as well as the always wonderful no sales tax shipping out of state. They've since closed that location but I think their 57th street location is still open.

Unluckily I've left New York- as it was a surprise from my wife I couldn't do the required research ahead of time.

I'm considering a Montbrilliant Datora which is more reasonable and even the black dial 01. It's my first real watch so prob still looking for a new watch. Thanks for the tips- will keep doing my research.

Sure. Maybe give the watch appreciation thread a visit too.
