I'm also just generally annoyed at the idea of producing a different line for the outlet store. Whatever happened to these stores just having the overstocks and out of season stuff? That annoys me about BB.

That't not just BB. They all do it now.

Yeah, I know. But it's BB that annoys me. I guess BR annoys me too.

    Attolini? Maybe.

Rubinacci and Vass? Not on your life. Iammatt, Mafoofan and all other forum members will solidly back me up on this, especially when it comes to Rubinacci.

    I was being sarcastic.

The idea of outlet stores is a bit antiquated with the various programs for inventory control. Having that much extra inventory to support outlets today is simply poor management IMHO.

Banana Republic and JCrew are the two that annoy me the most looking at the quality[IMG]rice ratio. Both used to carry nice clothes at decent prices. I bought more pairs of casual/semi-dress pants at JCrew than I can count--now they're so expensive I just walk away.

I like BB's regular store stuff. And even their outlet store stuff isn't all bad.

I think the next time I get around to buying a Rolex I'm going to buy a Ball instead.

I take issue with Rolex. While the meaning behind buying a Rolex has changed (it used to be a watch you needed, rather than a luxury item), I would argue that their build quality has not deteriorated in the least, and that it is equally well made as ever. It is, however, just another status watch now, as opposed to something with a true utilitarian purpose.

Rolex is an outstanding watch, my comment was not meant to be detrimental by any means. I'm leaning toward a Ball because it does meet my utilitarian need much better.

I'm of the same opinion regarding Hilfiger.

As for the "H" line, the ads in the magazines looked great, but I never actually found any clothing in the stores. Was it even distributed outside of New York/LA? OK, I'll admit, I didn't look that hard [IMG]

I absolutely loved the H line. There was a store in the Chicago area that had a lot of nice things and because nobody seemed to ever go there, everything was always on sale. In the end, the store went out of business, but not before a blowout sale where things were marked to 70% off or more.

I am also really disappointed with Banana Republic, it used to be that almost my entire wardrobe came from there, but now its very rare that I'll buy anything from BR. The prices keep going up, but quality and style hasn't changed at all. On sale you can get some decent buys, but so much of the stuff just looks the same and the colors are often very boring.
