I just received my C&J Monkstraps from GVH (great/fast shipping) and they are unfortunately too tight for me in the width.

I guess I can forget about the 337 last, which I suspected but decided to give these a try anyway. GVH do not accept returns from outside the US.

I bought these from their web site and got hammered with over $100 in duty and taxes to Canada to go with the $32 shipping so I'd like to get $350 to recoup most of my costs on these. I will cover the shipping costs to buyer.

The pic is from GVH but it's an exact representation of the shoes. They are in perfect, mint condition and come in the original RL box (marked $595) and the big green shoe cloth. They are called the Sheldon and are made to near handgrade standards according to the SF consensus. In any event, they are as nice a black monkstrap you can get short of the JL prestige models imo. I really wish they fit me but hopefully someone here can benefit. PM or email me for paypal info. (I also have new Allen Edmonds in 9.5E for sale).

Sure. I will list them on eBay if they don't sell here so let me know when you plan to go to RL and I can hold off if it's not too long.

Too bad they didn't fit you. I hope someone will buy them from you and enjoy wearing them.

I have purchased from GVH before. It was the RL Grant at half the retail price. Need I say more on the customs, duties and taxes???

I ended up paying something close to C$200 on these "extra" charges. GVH shipped by using FedEx. It was quick, but I knew FedEx has their own way in determining these charges......I was willing to take a gamble and pay up because chances of purchasing a similar shoe (and at this price) in the Great White North are next to zero.

I sure hope you sell these. Seems like people around here aren't interested in dropping more than $300 for shoes, even if offered at a bargain, relative to retail. Offer them less than $200, you get less people asking about fit and more "PM sent."
