    Hello All,

Just a curious question, I've purchased a midnight blue tuxedo with peak satin lapels and I am looking to get the pants tailored to accommodate for braces, particularly the Albert Thurston White Moire Braces as worn by Daniel Craig in Skyfall/Casino Royale.

First question is: I am 20 with a slim build, these braces measure at 40mm width...do you think they will be too thick for me? I am a size 36 - 38 slim jacket, depending on the brand.

Second: These braces come with two different metal finished for the adjustment buckles, Gold or Silver, I noticed with a black tux in Casino Royale bond wore the gold ones whereas in Skyfall he wore the silver with the midnight blue....Should I pick the one that is relevant to my suit color?

    Those are the braces there.

    :)

In theory, it does not matter. You should not be exposing your braces anyway, as you should keep your jacket on.

+1. The only person who should technically see them is yourself, but if you like them then go for it. I'm a slight build too and wear Thurston with suits, and they are a little overwhelming, however keeping your jacket on at all times is the best idea otherwise you begin to look a bit like Patrick Bateman.

There isn't a relevant suit colour either for the buckles...I'd choose the one that matches your watch colour, or perhaps the buckles on the back of your cummerbund - both meaningless but better than nothing.

Go with the color metal that matches your cuff links and studs

Bought the braces guys, ended up going for the ones with the silver finishings, these things look amazing.
