gents, getting married this August and my groomsmen will be wearing black tuxedos. Bridesmaids will be wearing a deep navy color...question is to bow tie color for my guys?

    Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Your wedding is at night, right?

It's called black tie for a reason; the tie should be black.

The wedding is after 6p. Invitations did not say black tie event.

Get creative where you like, but not with your evening wear. Your groomsmen will thank you for not putting them in red or yellow bow ties.

But you said they're wearing tuxedos, and tuxedo = black tie.

The invitations don't have to. All this means is that the guests do not need to wear black tie. Often, as in your case, the bridal party will be dressed a level above the guests.
