Bow ties for candy stripe seersucker suits

To improve my look, self-faced ribbons will be used for the straw boater and bow ties accmpanying my seersucker (SS) suits.

For my blue candy stripe SS suit, a ribbon of blue candy stripes will line the circumference of the part of the straw boater which encloses the head. Similarly, a ribbon of red candy stripes will line the straw boater worn with my red candy stripe SS suit. In both cases, the stripes will be vertical.

A similar colour scheme is to be adopted for the bow ties which will be worn with the two SS suits. However, I am not sure whether the stripes for the bow ties should be vertical or horizontal.

Any helpful opinions?

Cute pattern, AC, and thanks, but now I'm thinking I may have gone overboard with the too-much self-face pattern scheme.

Perhaps I should wear the candy blue bowtie with the candy red SS suit, and vice versa.

Or, maybe I should consider selecting a bowtie colour that complements a shirt colour, e.g., green bowtie for a pale yellow shirt, purple bowtie for a mint green shirt.

Any suggestions for a stylish SS suit look?

Not to hijack the thread, but I recently purchased a double-breasted seersucker on eBay, made by Saint Andrews for Bergdorfs. Do you think I could wear those same white bucks with the double-breasted? The bucks look great but they give the look a more casual feel, I'm not sure if this would contrast too much with the double-breasted cut . . .

Certainly. Whatever extra dash the DB cut gives that suit is overwhelmed by the informality of the cloth. At the end of the day, it's still a seersucker suit, and all the usual seersucker accessorizations apply.
