boutonnieres for wedding advice

My fiance suggest a boutonnieres eggplant calalili for me and my groomsman where mine would be one color and there a different one. She then suggested a boutonnieres orchid as an alternative.

I do not know the first thing about this. It will be for a summer wedding starting at 11 am.

Any thoughts/opinions will be greatly appreciated!

Whatever flower you go for, ask that the boutonnière be kept small, like so:

is there a specific flower or colour that should be worn as the groom / best man etc.
