I already have 15 boxes of bottles wrapped and in the storage unit ready for our upcoming move this summer.

I still need another 5-6 for the whiskeys alone, then I have to tackle her rums. Oy vey.

And this is just the unopened ones. Trying to finish off the opened stuff without opening any more. I may pop one more Trace and Elijah for standard ol fashy if people get bent out of shape over little book chapter 4 or some of the older booker's batches being used for same :p

I think the answer is that you find ways to “offload” some of those bottles….. you know, maybe there’s someone local who could take them off your hands and save the cost/hassle of moving

I seriously need to find someone local for same reason, only about paring down a few bottles of my unicorns

This is what I do when we host friends/family. I have bring out 4 or 5 ‘good’ bottles, let people taste & compare and they can bring home their favorite

You are a far more generous soul than I if you would let friends or family take home a bottle of 2010 era Pappy Van Winkle 20

Apparently there are a bunch of videos on Whiskeytube (youtube for bourbon) which I didn't know was a thing saying the bourbon craze is dying out.

More like ‘craft’ distilleries selling 5 year MGP (with a bullshit backstory) for $100 are dying out
I feel for the people who work there but yeah, it’s about time. Shelves were 70% full of stuff I’d never heard of 3 years ago, and very little of it worth even half asking price

Put about 75 miles on the T100 today as it was in the mid 50s. Ended up at my local.

What a great idea it was to have a backpack.

No, i didn't sample the 1924 there, I popped it so my girl who held em back for me could try it (though i wasted no time when i got home ;) ) It's significantly better than last year's. The bubble gum and medicinal twinge (incredibly slight mind you) are gone and it's just a really nice pour.

How’s the OF 1924? Big fan of the 1920. Somehow I was out of rye tonight, so went with HH BiB for the Vieux Carre…
