Oddly enough, have never tried Wild Turkey either.. It just seems to be the Budweiser of the bourbon world, and have never had an interest in Budweiser either..
Not bourbon, but whiskey, made an Old Fashioned with Amarena Fabbri cherries, Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth, and Sazerac 6-yr tonight. Mighty tasty.
In a bar in South Carolina, had a really awful bourbon with something like "honey" in the name. Avoid at all costs.

Ugh, that does sound like a recipe for disaster..
That **** is awful. My condolences Dopey.
So I picked up a bottle of Hudson Four Grain Bourbon after being intrigued for a few weeks seeing it at the liquor store. The color was enticing, and the packaging was pretty cool. I kept resisting though, because I have never been overwhelmed by New York state's bourbon-making tradition. Anyway, to make a long story short, I am running out of medium-priced craft bourbons to try, and have tried most of the over $100 bourbons, so I gave it a shot. Not bad at all. I tasted the very distinct "piney" flavor that Hudson seems known for, and this was a very good (for such a young) bourbon. However, at about $90 for a 750 ml (they only seem to come in 375 ml bottles), seems a bit over-priced.
If that bothers you, you can just pop it right out with a screwdriver or the like. I don't know why they put those on the duty free bottles, it's annoying as hell...I have a bottle of Beam that I picked up in Mexico years ago (with that stupid shake-and-pour nozzle fitting),
