Somehow bdeuce gets notifications before I do that my state liquor store has special online-only limited offerings. Fortunately, he's the ******* man and alerts me accordingly. Just ordered Four Roses Barrel Strength, Single Barrel (OBSK).

Do any of you guys have any WFE you're looking to move? I have an extra of one from Crossroads Vinters in Indiana, an 8 year old, and I'm looking to trade for something similar.

I wish, I love anything Willett...I've only got a spare bottle of the new WFE 2yr Rye, everything else is either 20+yrs old and/or opened...

Is the new wfe 2 year rye worth it? Seems pricey for a 2 year old rye

Grabbed a two year rye at the distillery...at around $40, it is a little high for something so young, but when you compare it to other "craft" distillers young whiskey, its priced much lower. I've not been happy with Willet's business model for the past year or so. You can't find their bottlings ANYWHERE anymore, retailers are waiting years to get their barrel picks and the price has jumped astronomically (last summer an 8 year old at Fairgrounds was around $50 a bottle and now I'd say any 8 year would be double that). I'm all good on small increases but I feel this has gone up almost 100% since their previous releases. They also stopped hand labeling the bottles and do not include a bottle number nor a yield number on the back. For my money, Smooth Ambler seems the way to go now for unique barrel picks. Four Roses barrel picks are good, but fairly consistent with their flavor profile since they have one story warehouses. You won't get stuff with incredibly unique characteristics like WFE used to (and to be fair) still puts out from 4R.

Yeah. I saw a store near Boston got their Willett barrel. I think it was a 10 Year and it was around $110. YIIIIKES.
