I have just bought a pair of Peal & Co. Chelsea boots. The link to them is below. What's the opinion on the quality on Peal & Co. dress shoes and what should I be looking for in high quality dress shoes/boots? I've got several pair of Allen Edmonds dress shoes and I know that they are very high quality/value shoes so are these Peal & Co. Boots comparable? I see that on my Allen Edmonds that there is stitching on the outer edge of the leather sole on the bottom of the shoe holding the sole to the shoe. But these Peal & Co. do not have that. Is that good or bad? Thanks for the help.

Those are made by Alfred Sargent, and they have a closed channel sole. Google it for more information than you wanted.

Those boots should be of higher quality than most Allen Edmonds.

Everything he said. The soles have a very thin piece of leather covering the stitching. After you've worn them long enough it will wear through and you will see the stitching on the soles.

Nice boots at a good price. I have the same ones in brown (same size too) that I've been meaning to list for sale since I rarely wear them.
