That is a very attractive watch. I particularly like the uncluttered dial, with the date (which I find necessary), but nothing unnecessary. Another thing I like about this watch is the combination of silver and gold, which should, I think, make it suitable for wear with either silver or gold accessories (like belt buckle, cufflinks, tie bar, etc.). Just a very nice watch that would work very well for both dress and work. Great choice.

Nice.

Simplicity in watch is vastly underrated.

This is a extremely close reproduction of their model from the 1950s. Nice mid century vibe to it.

Congrats. Very nice watch and quite versatile IMO. Don't hesitate to experiment with straps. You'd be surprised how a different strap can make your watch look like a completely different watch

I have the exact same watch (with the black leather strap). It's simple, slim and I think quite elegant precisely because of the lack of lots of other dials on the face. Good choice, though obviously I'm biased. One tip - you can adjust the date quickly by pulling the crown to the middle position instead of all the way out. Took me a couple of months to realise this....

I like it for suits though with your brown strap I guess it's versatile enough for anything (I wear a steel bracelet Seamaster for most casual outfits myself).

Congratulations on your purchase!

Given all the positive reviews, I will give mine, a negative one in fact. I don't want to be offensive, although Longines Conquest sounds like a cheap watch to me, I mean the name is unrefined. And I find the golden hands and number markers too ostentatious. Also I find the leather strap too plain.

Well at least you based your "review" on something of substance...you know...or not. Actually, the Conquest is a reissue of a classic Longines model from the 1950's. It has significant historical reference for those who are actually interested in that sort of thing.

I really like what Longines is doing right now. They were a down and out brand for a number of years after being quite well thought of for most of their life. But they got hammered by, then seduced by, the down market trend into quartz watches during the 1970's and 1980's. They've recently been doing a lot of work to restore some of their brand panache and I really like a lot of their new offerings (this one included).

I bought a Raymond Weil a couple of years ago at this similar price point and, frankly, I wish that I'd bought a Longines like this one instead.

Good work.

I could be biased by the photo. It would probably look different worn on the wrist.
