I did a search here on Bottega Veneta shoes and couldn't come up with too much information on them (besides some sales). I'm new to their shoe line and recently had the chance to try some of the Desert boots on. I really like the rounded toe and fit of those boots, but at $600+ not sure they're worth it. Does anyone have information on the construction (or who makes them) of the boots/shoes? Also, does anyone know if they ever go on sale anywhere? Going to make a trip to NYC soon and will check out a few of the dept stores for them. Lastly, I'm wondering if they are really worth it at the regular price (subjective I know)? I know I'm paying a premium for the name, but just wondering if they are well constructed, etc. I'm wondering if these can be resoled as well (entire sole not just rubber pad)? Thanks in advance for all the help.

I don't like how the toe curves up. Reminds me of a bad pair of Kenneth Coles.

Sorry, don't have an answer to any of your questions. BV does make great leather goods.

Oh no, not Kenneth Cole!
I actually like the curving toe. A bit more comfortable and work like. Not looking for a dressy shoe, but a more casual/work type one.
