I need the sleeves shortened from the shoulder on a pricey Margiela jacket (functional cuffs, damnit), and I don't trust my normal tailor to do something that's quite so easy to mess up. Anyone have a recommendation? I'm in Cambridge, MA where I hear there are a couple decent tailors, but I don't trust Yelp.

Cheers

Does a store like that take outside work? At Brooks Brothers, they refuse non BB items.

Also, anyone chuckle at the thought of a store known for it's American Sack suits taking on a job to work on a Belgian fashion forward sportcoat?

Tad works as an independent employee in the back of the store. They are used to people bringing non store-bought items to him. It was a bit uncomfortable at first, but worth it,

Another option is Rizzos. He's good but expensive. Ignore all of the BS about him being surly. Not true.

Mario in Chestnut Hill is another option. The work he did for me was very good but expensive.

Also looking for a good Boston tailor. I took an overcoat to Jerry on Newbury St. and he turned me away because he thought the sides couldn't be brought in.
