I wished they'd used a professional Panasonic plasma panel. Rather than ****** 120hz LCD technology from Gawd knows what year.
The amount of sound this system produces probably could fill a space the size of a school auditorium.
Simply ridiculous.

Wait what makes this special? My TV has:

1) 'Invisible' speakers
2) HD
3) A remote

What makes you say this, and in any event why is that good?

Go to your neighborhood friendly BOSE showroom and ask for a demo.

The third worst place to demo any equipment is in a showroom.

The second place to demo any equipment is a showroom owned by the equipment manufacturer.

Dude, I'm not pushing this thing on anyone.
Matter of fact, your correspondent is a long suffering user of BOSE automotive products.

their showrooms are designed to make the speakers sound "special"...unless one can reproduce the same acoustic environment at home, they'd sound nothing like they did in the showroom

Not gonna lie, they probably sound crappy even in their own showroom. I expect better from SF. No TV will have integrated speakers that sound good. Especially one this thin. So why even try?

It's like trying to sell a car radio with HD Radio because HD radio will drown out the roadnoise and windnoise. Or it's like putting a 20 megapixel sensor on a camera with a series of plastic lenses. Just dumb.

I'd say it was a msart move from Bose; the lack of a vision product in their range was a major gap. Obviously the product its self is going to be of average quality, their USP is that the sound is special to "normal people" and sub-par to audiophiles.

I'm just suprised they haven't made this before now.

I don't mean this as an attack but I am curious: If you've had less than pleasurable experiences with Bose's automotive products, why go in for VideoWave? $5,349 is a lot of money to sink with a company that you don't seem that keen on.
